Peaceful Cherry Barbs, native to Sri Lanka. These are the perfect versitle community tank fish that can live with most other tetras, peaceful tropicals, plecos, cories, small cichlids, danios, rainbows, and more. These are schooling fish, and perfer to be in a minimum group size of 6. Aggression lowers with a larger group. They are an excellent way to add contrasting color to any planted tank! Diet: Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp, Flakes, and Algae Wafers. Omnivoires. Live baby brine shrimp is their favorite!
Tank Mates: Suitable for most community tanks. Plecos and small South American cichlids will work, depending on individual fish personalities. Larger cichlids and Angels will nip their fins. Dense live plants will make them happy. Aggresion level raises with small group sizes due to males chasing the females to breed. Multiple females recommended for each male. Can live with shrimp but will eat all shrimp offspring.
